Cold Lake and District Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) strives to foster an engaged community of caring, compassionate people and healthy, happy families.
In partnership with the community, FCSS provides locally-driven, preventative social initiatives that aim to improve the quality of life for individuals and families. Provincially, the FCSS program receives its mandate from the Family and Community Support Services Act and the Family and Community Support Services Regulation pursuant to the Act.

We offer tutoring spaces, faxing, photocopying and scanning services, and access to public computers with wifi access for other devices. Dr. Margaret Savage Crisis Centre (DMSCC)

The DMSCC is a non-profit emergency shelter for women with or without children who are fleeing family violence or in life crisis. We offer a 24/7 helpline available to all members of the community, a second-stage housing program, and two community support teams offering outreach services. Outreach services include one-on-one support, referrals, safety planning, public education, community programs like Community Kitchens and Healthy Babies, and more. All of our services and programs are free to the community. We operate two thrift stores (Orbiting Trends and Ella's Closet) which accept donations. All proceeds go to support our Centre. Interested in becoming a member of our organization? An annual membership costs $20 and all membership fees directly support our Centre.
